'WISE WORK'

work. God also expects us to plan how we are going to do His work. We need both a prayer life and a planned life.

A Biblical plan requires asking and heeding God’s wisdom and the power of the Holy Spirit to accomplish our work. A Christian plans their life around God’s plan for their life. God becomes the senior partner and the Christian is the junior partner. God will give us a game plan. After all, don’t you want a teacher to have a game plan before entering the classroom, a surgeon before entering the operating room, the lawyer before entering the courtroom? God wants to plan our lives to succeed in doing His good work in our places of employment. God wants Christians to excel in the workplace so they fulfill His good purposes.

Begin by asking God what He wants you to do for the new day. After a while, expand it out to the week, the month, and the year. “God, who do you want me to be in 5, 10, and 15 years? God, what do you want me to do for the next 5, 10, and 15 years? Seek God's direction. Set goals. Write them down! With God’s help you can plan the work then work the plan.

“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.” (Prov 16:3)
