'Your Job is to Tell The Story'
come up with the message, just deliver it. They don’t have to convince anyone, but to relay the response. An ambassador needs to stay faithful to the message rather than change it on the fly. He or she needs to know it, memorize it, and convey it. It is that simple.
It is the same way with us. Paul tells us that we are ambassadors of Christ who is the King of Kings. It is God’s message that we are called to know, memorize, and convey with the integrity of His words. Christ embodied God’s very words, which makes it especially important that we study the gospels, listen intently to Jesus’ words, and allow it to shape the entirety of who we are. That way, we will be able to speak Jesus’ message with fidelity that can translate into many unforeseen questions and situations. The more we become like him, the better we will do our job.
Speak the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Tell people your personal experience with The King. What has He said specifically to you? How has He healed you, restored a relationship, given you wisdom, and helped you navigate a really hard time? As ambassadors, we tell Jesus’ message with our lives as proof of the goodness of the One who sent us.
From one ambassador to another, May Christ’s word dwell in you richly.
